Play Hard, Live Fully: Sports as a Lifestyle

Since early childhood, my life has been intricately intertwined with the world of sports. It was during these formative years that my passion for athletic endeavours took root and flourished. Engaging in various sporting events and activities not only provided me with a source of joy and fulfilment but also ignited a deep sense of purpose within me.

As I progressed through my teenage years, my dedication and commitment to sports became increasingly evident. Representing Hong Kong in prestigious international competitions such as the World Youth Wushu Championship and the Asian Youth Wushu Championship, held in Singapore and Malaysia respectively, I had the incredible opportunity to showcase my skills on a global stage. These experiences further solidified my belief in the power of sports to transcend borders, foster camaraderie, and ignite the flame of excellence.

It is no surprise, then, that my professional trajectory has become intimately intertwined with the realm of sports. Recognizing the immense impact that sports can have on individuals, communities, and society as a whole, I have dedicated myself to a career that revolves around this passion. Whether it is working in sports management, coaching aspiring athletes, or contributing to the development of sports programs, I am committed to harnessing the transformative power of sports to inspire and empower others.

Play Hard, Live Fully: Sports as a Lifestyle encapsulates the ethos that has guided me throughout my journey. It serves as a reminder to embrace the challenges, push boundaries, and wholeheartedly immerse oneself in the world of sports. Beyond the physical realm, it also symbolizes the notion that a life enriched by sports is one that is lived to the fullest, infused with determination, resilience and a relentless pursuit of personal growth.

In essence, my passion for sports has not only shaped my life but has also become an integral part of my professional identity. It is through this deep connection that I hope to continue making a positive impact, inspiring others to embrace the transformative power of sports and to live their lives to the fullest extent possible.

Life with horses

At the age of 17, I applied to become a trainee jockey for the Hong Kong Jockey Club, and luckily, I was selected among thousands of applicants and began my career in the horse racing industry.

Positions I have held at the Hong Kong Jockey Club include:

Racing Trainee: Participated in and learned about horse racing, interned at different stables, provided daily care for horses, and underwent jockey training.

Lead House Rider: Rode professionally trained horses for morning trackwork and race days, helped calm the horses and ensured the safety of both riders and horses during training. Accompanied/walked winning horses to the spectator stands for the applause of racing fans.

Morning Trackwork Rider: Conducted trackwork training sessions with racehorses, reported horse conditions to trainers, and performed post-training horse care and stable operations.

Stable Head Lead: Managed the daily operations of the stable, arranged employee schedules and vacations, and handled support work in the stables.

Life on Snow

Before the age of 30, I wanted to step out of my comfort zone and explore the world, so I embarked on a working holiday in Japan.

Due to my lifelong passion for sports, I recently discovered a love for snowboarding and decided to pursue a career in the ski/snowboard industry. Currently, I teach snowboarding in Japan during the winter season and engage in self-improvement training in New Zealand during the summer. Apart from enhancing my own skills, I also aim to provide students with the joy of skiing and help them develop a love for the sport.

Deeply enamoured with snowboarding, in 2023, I co-founded a skiing brand called POW LAB with a partner who shares the same passion. We hope to share the best equipment with the public from our professional perspective.

Having lived in Japan for several years, I have established partnerships with various restaurants and travel companies in Niseko, Hokkaido. This allows us to offer convenient reservation services for accommodation, airport transfers, ski lessons, and seafood delivery, among other services.

I believe in making the most of available resources to develop my career.
